Hope Christian Health Center is a non-profit, faith-based organization operating two clinics in North Las Vegas and The HCHC Recuperating Care Center in Las Vegas.
The HCHC RCC is a 38 bed in patient program that offers primary care, case management, wound care, and other supportive services to clients who are homeless made possible through partnership with the City of Las Vegas.
Our mission is to glorify God as we demonstrate Christ’s love to the Las Vegas community by providing excellent, affordable care to everyone regardless of their ability to pay.
JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient centered medical home environment with an emphasis on the prevention of disease by working under the supervision of nurses to deliver high quality care to patients.
Available Shift: Per Diem
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Duties
- Promotes and demonstrates Hope values of: Gospel motivation, Prayer, Excellence, Stewardship, Patience, Thankfulness, Humility, Service, Dignity through Relationship and Hospitality and Joy
- Always maintains a courteous and professional demeanor; greets individuals and patients
- Provides accurate, detailed, and succinct messages to providers and staff
- Obtains patient consent/signature(s) when necessary
- Takes orders from appropriate nursing and medical staff
- Assists with meal preparation and delivery
- Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s): ex: eating, dressing, getting in and out of bed, using the toilet, etc
- Takes patient vital signs
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations
- Use precaution to prevent spread of infection and disease
- Complies with HIPAA and protects patient information
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
- Maintains all BLS certifications and state licensure. Must be certified through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Attends and actively participates in staff meetings
- Performs all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program from an accredited program or school
- Licensed in the State of Nevada
KEY COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:

- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM coding
- Ability to operate general office machinery (computers, calculators, copy/fax machine, telephones, etc.)

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated passion for community health care.
- Proven leadership, team building, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to maintain integrity in a fast paced and high-demand environment.

- Ability to interact with people from all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles; ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively, and sensitively to special populations
Pay: $19.00 – $23.40 per hour

- Certified Nursing Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

- NV Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure (Required)
