Assistant General Manager!!
Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers is locally owned. Mellow Mushroom is a fun, cool, laid back, eclectic, full service pizza restaurant. We are looking for the next dynamic leader to join our team as AGM for one of our locations in St Lous. If you have upper management experience, preferably at another high volume restaurant that sells, craft beer, craft cocktails and high end wines please apply. We are seeking a talented, experienced restaurant manager that has a passion for service and a desire to develop those around them. Our managers are hands on and strive to make a difference to impact our business. We don't want robots. We encourage you to have a say in the bar and dinning area. Mellow Mushroom takes great pride in having a friendly welcoming neighborhood environment that appeals to our guests and staff. Salary is commensurate with experience and expertise. We believe in cross-training so all of our Managers are trained, but not limited to, the following areas of responsibility.
Overall operations of a high volume bar and restaurant including:
- Coordinate daily restaurant management operations
- Deliver superior food and beverage service while maximizing customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Ensure new staff complies with company policies
- Train staff to follow restaurant procedures including proper and legal alcoholic beverage service
- Maintain safety and food quality standards
- Extensive inventory of food, liquor, wine and beer
- Organize and supervising shifts
- Lead by example and uplifting our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Help manage restaurant’s good image, and suggest ways to improve
- Work closely with the General Manager to control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Work collaboratively with other managers
- Recruit, hire, and retain talent who fit our culture
- Budget and allocate labor across the restaurant areas
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to create memorable experiences and lasting connections with guests
* Familiarity with ALOHA POS systems
* Experience with ordering and inventory management programs like Rosnet
* Understanding of sales goals, production pars, and quality control
* Charismatic and courteous with clientele and staff
* Proven ability to lead, coach a team
* Strong interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
