Bar Supervisor
The One O'Clock Gun
Job Description
The One O' Clock Gun is a stylish pub and kitchen located in the Grade I listed Britannia Pavilion on the Royal Albert Dock. Originally a 19th-century warehouse. It combines a classic pub aesthetic with traditional charm and a refined hospitality.
The pub is named after the historical One O’Clock Gun, first fired on 21st September 1867 at Morpeth Dock to provide an audible time signal for ships and workers—marking the start of lunch hour.
The role is suited for someone with experience managing people and creating unforgettable experiences in a hospitality setting. A supervisor is responsible for guest experience, operational excellence of the site, following standard operating procedures and leading a team. Ideal candidates for this role will have plenty of bar-tending experience in fast paced environments as well as some management experience.
At the heart of everything we do is care. For our guests, our food, and most importantly, our people. We create meaningful experiences driven by passion and a genuine love for our industry. Our commitment to quality and creativity has earned us a loyal following, and we’re proud to be known for doing things a little differently.
We believe that honesty and integrity are the foundation of a positive and productive working culture. We welcome feedback, encourage open communication, and support one another’s growth through shared learning and mutual respect.
The One O' Clock Gun is committed to being an inclusive, welcoming employer. We celebrate diversity in all forms and strive to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
If you’re passionate about creating extraordinary food and drink experiences and want to be part of a forward-thinking, people-first company, we’d love to meet you.
