Branch Operations Supervisor/Manager

Job Description
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean warehouse and fleet.
- Ensure all associates are working safely and following policies and procedures.
- Delegate and oversee the work of saw operators and material handlers.
- Fill orders, process material, and ship orders according to customer requirements.
- Manage a commercial truck fleet in accordance with safety policies and DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory.
- Prepare for and participate in safety and quality audits.
- Maintain equipment, commercial vehicles, and building maintenance.
- Hire cost-effective subcontractors providing quality services.
- Work intermittently on second and third shifts with assigned group leaders to monitor and assess safety, compliance, productivity, and associate performance.
- Identify safety, production, and quality improvements and take appropriate action.
- Support and enforce company policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate staffing in accordance with business needs.
- Interview, hire, and staff according to business needs.
- Evaluate training needs, train associates, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Coach associates and deliver corrective action.
- Report and address employee relations issues with management and human resources.
- Perform duties of direct reports as needed and additional responsibilities as directed by branch manager assistant general manager.
- High school graduate or equivalent. A college degree is strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution.
- A strong understanding of safety regulations, procedures, and the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
- Proficiency in inventory control and tracking
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- The ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory, logistics, delivery/fleet, and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge and/or experience with DOT/FMCSA and compliance.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet physical requirements of position.
- Ability to work overtime and work 2nd and 3rd shift intermittently to ensure operations are running safely and according to expectations.
- Base pay is commensurate with experience. Salary range $65,000-$97,000
