Care Assistant

St Hilda's Priory are looking for caring individuals like YOU to provide holistic care to the elderly residents and sisters of The Aelred Wing, a Registered Care Home, within an Anglican Religious Community. To work under direction/guidance and supervision of the Care Manager or her designated deputy. To attend to the needs of the elderly or frail residents and sisters within the Aelred Wing and be aware of and act with sensitivity towards their chosen way of life.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Hilda's Priory in Whitby to join their team. The post is primarily on days but there may be occasions when the hours will be worked on night shift dependant on service need. There is also the opportunity to work additional hours when available in a bank capacity. Hours available are between 24-36 hours per week. We operate a 12-hour shift system of 8am-8pm. We will consider full or part time contracts.

Ideally you will have good understanding and experience of care provision or working in a care environment and hold a qualification in health and social care, although this is not essential as training will be provided. There is opportunity to complete qualifications in health and social care through a local training provider.
