Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role is vital in providing assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and possess the skills necessary to support clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and senior care environments.

Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for individuals in care.
• Preparing meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring adherence to care plans.
• Supporting clients with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safe practices are followed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
• Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in health or behaviour.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience in assisted living, childcare, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable.
• A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• A patient and empathetic approach towards individuals requiring support.
• The capability to perform physical tasks associated with care work, including heavy lifting when required.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of all clients.
