Pastry Chef - Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef during service to ensure quality, timing, and coordination of all dessert items.
- Uphold the highest standards in presentation, flavor, texture, and portion control for all pastry items.
- Use only approved ingredients as directed by senior kitchen leadership to maintain consistency and quality.
- Take full ownership and responsibility for your station, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and overall efficiency.
- Proactively communicate with the team to suggest improvements and address challenges in your section.
- Ensure all items produced in your section meet the company’s quality and presentation standards.
✅ Requirements
- A Diploma or higher qualification in Pastry, Bakery, or related culinary disciplines.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in pastry within a high-standard restaurant or hotel environment.
- Strong team player with leadership potential and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude with a passion for pastry arts.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
- Immediate availability preferred.
