Chief of Security

The New Jersey Water Supply Authority is seeking a Chief of Security for our Clinton, NJ location.

NJWSA’s water system is made up of the Round Valley, Spruce Run and Manasquan Reservoirs, as well as 60 miles of the D&R Canal system. Clean water is our most precious resource, and two million NJ residents depend upon us to guarantee the continuation of this resource. Our Chief of Security supports this mission by ensuring the security of our grounds and facilities and the safety of our staff and visitors.

Duties include:

· Manage a Security Department staff of eight employees, ensuring around-the-clock staffing, and proper training and performance of staff.

· Frequent contact with Authority staff and the public, ensuring that security staff (and self) maintain professional and courteous communication and behavior at all times.

· Conduct and manage regular inspections of facilities and grounds.

· Utilize emerging technologies to proactively manage the safety of Authority personnel and property

· Remain up to date with effective Security practices.

· Utilize a computer to maintain records of staffing, overtime, performance, etc.

· Shift work and overtime will be required to ensure adequate staffing.

A successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of college level law enforcement training and two years of security and supervisory experience. Additionally, a valid driver’s license is required, and NJ residency is required within the first year of employment.
