Job Description

This is an advertisement for Residential Young People Workers working Waking Nights and Day Shifts within our children's homes Potters Bar and Barnet, north London.

We provide residential childcare for children aged 11 - 17 years, of mixed gender with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

The role is varied and includes a range of tasks and responsibilities which includes: -

121 key work sessions with young people, report writing, attending meetings and appointments, cooking and cleaning amongst other tasks. This role requires staff to ensure the safety and well being of the young people at all times and therefore we are looking for staff who are enthusiastic, dynamic, vigilant, pro-active and child focussed.

The working hours are 12 hour shifts

Waking Nights 7.45pm - 08:00am

Day Shifts 07.45pm - 08.00pm

A level 3 health and social care qualification is desirable to start; however we require staff who have a willingness towards achieving the NVQ Level 4 award in Residential Childcare within 12 - 18 months. This is an essential requirement.

Experience of working with children and young people is essential as well as a knowledge and experience of safeguarding.

Pay: £25,500.00-£27,500.00 per year
