- Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
- Assist cleaners in performing duties
- Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
- Establish work schedules
