### **Job Description**

Are you an experienced **Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN)** seeking a leadership role? We are a prestigious **nursing home** in Portsmouth seeking a dedicated **Night Lead Nurse** to provide clinical leadership and exceptional care throughout the night.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior **Staff Nurse** or **Ward Sister** with extensive **nursing home** experience to step up into a vital **Clinical Lead** position on nights. You will be the senior clinical expert on site, ensuring the highest standards of **elderly care** are maintained.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide strong, autonomous **clinical** leadership to the night nursing team in a **care home** setting.

* Oversee and conduct safe and accurate **medication rounds**, ensuring full compliance with NMC standards.

* Work collaboratively **in hand with the Deputy Manager** and care team to implement and evaluate individualised care plans.

* Act as the **Clinical Lead** on shift, making decisive decisions and providing support to all staff.

* Ensure all care delivered is person-centred, upholding the dignity and respect of all residents.

* Mentor and support **Student Nurses** and junior members of the care team.

* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with **healthcare** regulations and company policy.

* Uphold the highest standards of clinical governance and CQC compliance.

### **Essential Requirements:**

* Must be a **Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN)** with a valid **NMC PIN**.

* A minimum of **5 years' post-registration experience**, with significant experience in a **nursing home** environment.

* **Proven experience in a senior nurse capacity** (e.g., **Staff Nurse**, **Ward Sister**, **Clinical Deputy Manager**, or **Night Lead**).

* Extensive experience managing **medication rounds** and complex clinical care needs.

* The ability to work autonomously without supervision, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

* A compassionate and dedicated approach to **elderly care**.
