Job Description
The Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

We are currently hiring for evening shift (2pm-10pm) and overnight shift (10pm-6am). Shift differentials paid for evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
Full time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus!
CNA Requirements
- NY CNA license required (If you would like to become a CNA, we have a full certification program)
- Ability to work full time and every other weekend
CNA Responsibilities
- Dressing and undressing of the resident
- Bathe (whirlpool tub, shower, or bed bath) the resident including grooming of hair (shampoo); shave, oral hygiene (cleaning dentures) and fingernail care.
- Distribute individual meal trays, meal nourishments and drinking water. Feed resident and record their intake, if indicated.
- Transfer residents to/from tub, bed, chair (including but not limited to wheelchairs), or toilet, using safe and proper body mechanics and various techniques, i.e. one/two person assist, or mechanical lift.
- Operate equipment such as bed scale, specialized beds, ear thermometer, Hoyer lift or other equipment as instructed.
- Reposition residents who are no longer able to move themselves and perform range of motion exercises.
- Perform certain tests such as weights, temperature, respiration, pulse, and blood pressure. Measure intake and output. Record results appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Document all information as required.
- Alert charge nurse to any changes in resident’s condition or resident complaint.
- Transport in wheelchair, or by other methods as specified.
- Escort with residents to appointments, as needed.
- Clean and store resident care equipment after each use and tidy surrounding area.
- Make beds (occupied and unoccupied) and change bed linens, as necessary.
- Assists with post-mortem care.
- Aware of all Federal and State requirements of responsibilities of resident care as it pertains to nursing assistants.
- Answer telephone.
- Perform a total inventory of all resident’s possessions upon admission, discharge, or transfer.
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
