Duties

• Safely operate a variety of trucks such as manual transmission tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, to transport freight over short and long distances.
• Ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement.
• Follow designated routes diligently, adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage documentation accurately for each trip, including delivery manifests, logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Assist and support other team members with logistical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional truck driver with a strong background in commercial driving; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued. Two year experience requirement
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the truck types operated (e.g., tanker endorsement if applicable).
• Skilled in driving manual transmission vehicles and operating specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks. One automatic transmission truck available.
• Knowledge of load securement techniques and freight handling procedures to ensure safe transportation.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks confidently.
• Familiarity with route planning software or GPS systems to optimize delivery routes.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and safety compliance.
