Job Description
Cook position: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Part-Time Cook to join our quick-service restaurant team. This role involves food preparation, cooking, assembly, and kitchen support in a fast-paced environment. Cooks are an essential part of the operation and participate in the shared tip pool in addition to hourly pay. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well under pressure, follows systems and recipes, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food. Compensation Hourly pay (based on experience) Plus shared tips paid hourly Tips are pooled across the restaurant team and distributed based on hours worked Average tips typically add approximately $2–$3 per hour, depending on volume and staffing Tip amounts vary week to week.
Weekly pay Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards Follow portion control, presentation, and quality guidelines Assist with prep work (cutting, portioning, seasoning, staging product). Execute orders accurately and efficiently during service Kitchen Operations Maintain speed, accuracy, and cleanliness during peak periods Communicate clearly with front-of-house and expo staff Assist with stocking, labeling, and rotating inventory (FIFO)Monitor food quality, freshness, and holding times.
Cleaning & Food Safety: Keep cook line, prep areas, and equipment clean and organized Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing cleaning duties .
Team Expectations: Work collaboratively with the entire restaurant team Be flexible and assist where needed during service Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Schedule & Availability Requirements: Part-time position Availability required for days, nights, and weekends Holidays may be required Reliable transportation and consistent attendance expected.
Qualifications: Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred (not required). Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and food quality. Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures. Willingness to learn and take direction
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs Ability to bend, reach, and work in hot kitchen conditions.
