The Liquor Well Inc. is a locally owned Liquor & General Store, and we are hiring immediately for a reliable Cashier/Customer Service Associate to assist our customers! The ideal candidate will handle cashier duties and provide excellent service to all customers throughout the store.
The Cashier/Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing superior service by engaging customers to ensure an exceptional experience. The Cashier/Customer Service Associate is also responsible for resolving customer issues, answering questions, itemizing and totaling customers' purchases, and other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour ($1 extra per hour for grave shift)
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Day Shift Schedule ($17 per hour)
- 8 hour shifts, 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Must work weekends
Swing (Night) Shift Schedule ($17 per hour)
- 8 hour shifts, 4:00pm - 12:00am
- Must work nights and weekends
Grave (Overnight) Shift Schedule ($18 per hour)
- 8 hour shifts, 12:00am - 8:00am
- Must work nights and weekends
Duties
- Ensure all customers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment through greeting customers and engaging them in positive and professional conversation;
- Maintain store merchandising and cleaning standards;
- Efficiently and accurately process point of sale transactions within the cash registers;
- Ensure the sale of age restricted items is performed in a safe and legal manner, as outlined in specific training programs;
- Perform general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping floors, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows and restrooms;
- Positively communicate (verbal and written) with management and staff; and
- Demonstrate the ability to be a "Team Player" and to foster a teamwork environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age to sell Alcohol & Tobacco, according to the State of Alaska Alcohol & Tobacco Laws
- Successfully complete the three hour Training for Alcohol Professionals Class "TAP"
- Customer service experience, 1 year
- Ability to do basic math
- Fluency in English
- Able to meet the physical demands as noted at the bottom of this job description
