Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability.
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations to maintain safety and compliance.
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist clients with meal planning and cooking when needed.
- Observe clients closely for changes in behavior or health status, documenting observations accurately for team review.
- Support clients during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to develop or update individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), autism spectrum disorder support, and hospice care principles.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with medication administration preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts required.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
