Location: Lara
Hours: 2 Weekdays (flexible), Saturday & Sunday – 11:00am to 2:00pm
We’re looking for an experienced MALE Disability Support Worker to support a vibrant 16-year-old boy with a passion for the outdoors, trains, robotics, and mechanics. This is a rewarding opportunity to build a consistent and meaningful connection while helping a young person grow and engage with his community.
About the Client
This teen is active, curious, and happiest outdoors or tinkering with machines. His interests include:
- Gardening, hiking, and weekend barbecues
- Trains – spotting them, taking photos, and enjoying scenic rides
- Robotics and mechanics – especially working on projects with his 3D printer
- Calm, practical, and good with routines
- Experienced with behaviours of concern and confident following a Behaviour Support Plan
- A steady, reliable influence who enjoys hands-on work and open-air activities
Your Certificates and Licences
- NDIS workers screening check
- Working with children check
- First aid and CPR certificate
- Certificate III or IV in individual support, disability or equivalent
- Australian drivers license and your own fully insured vehicle
SCHADS Award B2.1 Casual Rates (Includes casual loading):
- Base hourly rate: $43.23
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $47.55
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $48.41
- Saturday: $60.52
- Sunday: $77.81
- Public holiday: $95.10
