Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure proper stock levels.
- Manage cash handling procedures and oversee POS systems.
- Train, develop, and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and customer service standards.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest concerns or feedback promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong cooking skills with experience in quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining establishments.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience with inventory control and food production management.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to foster collaboration among staff members.
- Experience in training & development of kitchen personnel is preferred.
- Background in hospitality management or culinary arts is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
