Job Description
Busy family in Boston's Seaport is seeking an experienced, reliable, and professional full time Nanny/Household Manager for their growing family. They would love someone who is looking to stay long term! Applicants must be at least 21 years old, cpr & first aid certified, and have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant professional experience. Previous experience as a household manager or family assistant is highly preferred and previous infant experience is required. Candidates must be vaccinated for Flu & TDAP and Covid is also preferred. The 3.5-year-old is in school daily from 8:30-2:30pm and the nanny will be responsible for drop off and pick up. During her school hours, responsibilities will revolve around household tasks ( Loading/unloading dishwasher, tidying kitchen, organization, trash & recycling, errands, laundry, simple meal prep or light family cooking, etc...). After school, responsibilities will revert to childcare related tasks (planning and executing developmentally appropriate experiences/activities, snacks/meals, tidying play areas, etc...). There is a new baby due in August and infant responsibilities will begin around February 2026. Candidates who are warm, proactive, strong communicators, flexible, engaging and self-starters who can independently juggle their responsibilities will do well in this role. A valid license and clean driving record are required, and a family car will be available for on-the-job driving. Travel is not required; however, the family would love a nanny that is willing to travel periodically both domestically and internationally. Bi-lingual Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply; however, this is not a requirement. There is one dog in the home so candidate must be pet friendly.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm (slight flexibility); preference for candidates who are open to occasional night/weekend hours with advanced notice.
Rate: $40/hr BOE (increase when infant responsibility is added)
