The Food Expeditor (Expo) acts as the communication bridge between the kitchen (BOH) and the service team (FOH). This role ensures that all food leaves the dumbwaiter accurately, is attractively plated, and delivered to members promptly and at the correct temperature. The Expo upholds Palace Poker’s luxury service standards by maintaining precision, speed, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with kitchen staff and service specialists to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
• Verify all plates leaving the service kitchen against tickets for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
• Communicate any modifications, allergies, or special requests clearly to both BOH and FOH.
• Ensure service specialists are dispatched efficiently so food arrives hot and in sequence.
• Assist with quality control, ensuring consistency in plating and garnishing.
• Use communication tools (earpiece, buzzer, or other system) to streamline service coordination.
• Support FOH team in ensuring smooth and professional service to members.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.

Qualifications

• The minimum age for these positions is 21.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in both FOH and BOH roles preferred (server, food runner, or line cook background).
• Private club or membersonly experience a plus.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to remain detailoriented in a fastpaced environment.
• Knowledge of fine dining standards and luxury service etiquette.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Work in a fastpaced environment with exposure to kitchen conditions.
