Extruder Operator (3rd Shift)

Jifram is seeking experienced Extrusion Operators to join our team. The plastic profile extrusion operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality plastic profiles. The operator will ensure that the extrusion process runs smoothly, monitor production output, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process.

Responsibilities:Set up and prepare plastic extrusion machines according to production requirements, including selecting the appropriate dies, and other equipment.Operate extrusion machinery, including starting up and shutting down machines, adjusting settings, and monitoring the production process to ensure efficient and accurate output. Conduct regular quality checks on the extruded profiles, visually inspecting for defects, measuring dimensions, and performing tests to ensure adherence to quality standards.Make adjustments to the extrusion process as necessary to maintain product quality and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, such as material inconsistencies, or equipment malfunctions.Maintain production records. Follow safety protocols and guidelines. Collaborate with other team members, such as supervisors, quality control personnel .

Skills:- Experience in plastics extrusion, - Mechanical knowledge for machine setup and troubleshooting- Proficiency in quality inspection techniques- - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations- Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments-High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in plastics processing or a related field is preferred. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product requirements.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
