Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Household Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy household. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare, household management, and caregiving. This role involves managing household tasks, providing childcare, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The Household Manager will be responsible for creating a structured routine that supports the family’s needs while fostering a positive atmosphere.
The children are of an older age and therefore, this position may require more of a mentorship approach over caretaking asked in a typical nanny position. Some weeks the children will be with their father, which will be the busier weeks. When they are with their mother, your duties will be to keep the father's house and life organized: grocery shopping, laundry, dog caretaking, etc.
Duties
- Manage daily household activities including cleaning, cooking, and organizing.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the family.
- Assist with homework and educational activities to promote learning.
- Coordinate playdates, outings, and recreational activities for children.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment by performing regular housekeeping tasks.
- Support father with interactions and planning activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure that all first aid measures are in place and respond to emergencies when necessary.
- Ability to travel with family required
- Dog walking and caretaking required
- Paid for full time even if only working part time hours
Skills
- Strong cleaning and organizational skills to maintain a tidy household.
- Experience in nannying with focus on mentorship.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure child safety.
- Ability to work effectively with tumultuous divorce protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with family members.
- Cooking skills to prepare healthy meals tailored to family preferences.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
- CPR up to date and active
- Active, ability to pivot last minute or accommodate last minute requests
- Ideal candidate is willing to oversee all household chores, from housekeeping to scheduling maintenance, to caring for the children and dog.

Requirements:
- Must have minimum two years as a household manager
- Must have minimum two years working with children in any capacity
- Must have ability to mentor children of older ages who are struggling with big life changes
- Must have valid driver's license and clean record
- Must be able to pass all background checks
Opportunity for candidate to live-in for the first 3-6 months if relocating for position.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
