PFL is seeking a motivated and hardworking Finishing Operator. In this role, you will produce high-quality printed materials that exceed customer expectations. You'll operate state-of-the-art machinery in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility, performing hands-on tasks in a team-oriented environment. This position offers a variety of responsibilities, ensuring an engaging and fulfilling work experience.

Job Activities

• Monitor electronic dashboards to prioritize jobs
• Thoroughly review job tickets to ensure quality finished products
• Operate finishing equipment including a folder and cutter
• Practice diligent and thorough completion of tasks for optimal results
• Complete post shift cleanup duties
• Crosstrain to assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned

Essential Functions

• Possess an intermediate level of technical proficiency to utilize dashboard to prioritize finishing jobs resulting in efficient workflow and on time shipments
• Review job tickets with an attention for detail to achieve quality products with high accuracy and low spoilage
• Continuously aware of work environment and strict adherence to safety protocols
• Operate and maintain equipment, including industrial cutter, folder and pallet jacks, safely and effectively while managing a high volume of work
• Perform physical tasks required for the finishing position, including standing for 8-10-hour shifts, lifting and transporting objects weighting 20-60 pounds, and executing a variety of functional movements such as grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, bending, and stooping

The Details

• This position offers 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. We are hiring for the night shift, from 2 p.m. to midnight. The standard shift includes a 20-minute lunch break, but taking up to an hour for lunch is encouraged with appropriate adjustment to your hours.
• Compensation starting at $21.50 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour differential for night shift.
