Food Counter Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our food service operation, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient and safe handling of food. You will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting customers with their orders, maintaining cleanliness at the counter, and adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using the POS system.
• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper change is given.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and dining space.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and standards to ensure a safe dining experience for customers.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food preparation.
• Manage time effectively to handle peak hours efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cashiering skills are essential.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service duties.

Expected hours: 35 per week
