Food Server

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests and taking their orders accurately.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable to process transactions efficiently.
• Assist in food preparation and ensure that all food handling meets safety and sanitation standards.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, kitchen, and service stations through regular bussing and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, including fine dining or nightclub environments.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is a plus.
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in sanitation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
