About the Role
As a Front Desk Associate at Fairfield Inn & Suites Sault Ste. Marie, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcome, valued, and cared for throughout their stay. You’ll also play a key role in the smooth operation of the hotel by assisting with guest services, reservations, and nightly audit procedures.
This position is part of a 24-hour department, with shifts typically running 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Flexibility to work across all shifts is essential.
What You’ll Do
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay
- Complete check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests
- Operate the hotel phone system, ensuring clear and courteous communication
- Perform night audit duties as required, including reconciling daily transactions and preparing financial reports
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
- Uphold hotel policies and security procedures while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
Who You Are
- Availability is key – able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts without restrictions
- Friendly, professional, and reliable, with a guest-first attitude
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently, especially on overnight shifts
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an asset but not required
