FT Night Taxi Driver based in Aberystwyth

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our team.

We require Night time drivers covering flexible hours between 6pm and 6am minimum of 40hrs per week.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while maintaining the vehicle in good condition. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes within the Aberystwyth.

Criteria

*Applicant must live within 15 mins of Aberystwyth.

*Held a UK Driving Licence for at least 2 yrs.

*Be aged over 25 yrs old for insurance purposes.

*no more than 6 points on driving license.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to their desired destinations, ensuring a comfortable journey.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the taxi, performing regular checks and minor repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, fares, and local attractions.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately while issuing receipts.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure passenger safety.
• Assist passengers with heavy luggage or other items as required.
• Keep accurate records of trips taken, including mileage and fare details.
• Remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations or during difficult interactions with passengers.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse passengers.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with their belongings.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure while navigating busy streets.
• Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns is advantageous.
• Experience as a van driver is a plus, enhancing versatility in transportation services.
