Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff.
