Job Description
Full Time live-out Nanny required for a Tribeca family with an infant son starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child-related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their infant son in an active, engaging, and age-appropriate way.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone happy, energetic and experienced who is wanting to partner with the parents in a loving household. The ideal candidate is someone who loves babies and who is confident in infant and toddler milestones and development! The parents are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and supportive nanny who will guide them as first time, working parents. An honest, intelligent and discreet nanny would be an ideal match for this family. Flexibility is crucial to this position - international travel and ad hoc additional support (weekends, nights, etc) is expected.
Location: Tribeca, NY + Hamptons
Start date: ASAP
Days/times: Guaranteed 50 hours/week: Monday to Friday; general hours to land between 8am - 6.30pm. Availability to flex as needed for earlier/later days, travel + weekend care.
Children: Son (born Sep 2024)
Conditions: $35 - $45 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee) plus monthly health care stipend, monthly metrocard and standard sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations
For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:
- A minimum of 5-10 years experience as a nanny (NYC experience preferred)
- Recent experience working with an infant
- A well-suited demeanor for working with infants and toddlers
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
- Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- An open and flexible schedule for early/late finishes, weekend care and travel
- Ability to complete all child-related duties (including, but not limited to: child meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying nursery and play areas, child's laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
- A professional appearance
- A valid passport (or willingness to obtain)
