Health Care Assistant

We have fantastic opportunities for Health Care Assistants to join our domiciliary care company working in Wiltshire (Amesbury) and surrounding areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet;
• Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary;
• Helping tidy the patient’s home or room;
• Talking to patients and reassuring them;
• Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals;
• Assisting other staff when needed;
• Adhering to professional standards; and
• Recording daily notes, medications and other risk based observations on Oneplan software (training will be given);
• Reporting to the Senior Health Care Assistant and Manager any important changes in the patient’s condition.

You should be naturally caring, reliable, hardworking, patient and flexible. The following skills are desirable:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm in stressful situations;
• Good physical fitness and stamina to lift and move patients and equipment;
• Ability to follow instructions and keen observation sills;
• Ability to multitask and time management skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Attention to detail; and
• Good organizational skills.

• Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
