HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively.

Duties

• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting a culture of safety on the road.
• Assist with minor vehicle maintenance as required.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with tipper lorry operations is an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations.

• MPQC CARD would be an advantage
