Overview
We an immediate opening for a Server who can handle high-volume without sacrificing service standards. You must be able to work hard and fast, be extremely sober/reliable/mature and looking for long-term employment. Although a small, casual place we are top ranked on all the review sites and one of the highest grossing dining rooms in the area and as we are entering our 12th year we are busier than ever. We do not overstaff so servers make great money year-round, and it is extremely organized and efficient to operate in. We are only seeking serious, experienced servers that bring no drama to work and are passionate about their income and top-notch service. You should have 5 years serving experience, preferably some seafood and fast casual, and must be able to work open availability including lunch and dinner and doubles. We seat from 11:00am-8:30pm so no early mornings or late nights! Sidework is managable and adheres to employment laws (you are not asked to clean bathrooms!) Charge tips are paid in cash nightly, and payroll is done weekly via free direct deposit.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly attitude.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, including bussing tables and food safety practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues quickly.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality, especially in high-volume or fine dining settings, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable enhances efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles that demonstrate excellent guest services skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously through effective time management and organization; to make sure servers' numbers are even and everyone makes money, we do not do stations but instead seat on a rotation basis.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation can be an added advantage.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, check splitting, and handling cash accurately are essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
