Job Description
Better Dayz is now seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient monitoring and a genuine passion for helping others, particularly those with developmental disabilities or dementia. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and support in their homes or group settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor clients' health and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Administer first aid as needed and ensure the safety of clients while in your care.
• Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation to appointments or social activities.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, adhering to confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and first aid practices is essential.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team of healthcare professionals.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
