Full Job Description

• Ensure each participants’ safety, personal appearance, hygiene, etc. are upheld and maintained to the expectations of the individual, their family and/or guardian, and Happiness Bag, Inc.;
• Provide supports for participant to work toward achievement of goals/objectives as indicated in the participant’s PCISP;
• Assist participant, utilizing person centered verbal prompts based upon abilities and capabilities, with hygiene, toileting, daily living skills; household chores; etc.;
• Always display and promote positive encouragement to engage participant in various activities;
• Ensure that the rights and responsibilities of the participant are being strictly adhered to;
• Provide safe transportation for the participant while under your care;
• Always display professional and appropriate respect for the participant’s family and their residence, as applicable;
• Maintain and comply with all HIPPA guidelines and Happiness Bag, Inc. policies and procedures regarding privacy and confidentiality;
• Maintain appropriate communication with the parent/legal guardian;
• Maintain proper and accurate documentation regarding participant’s hours of service; description of services provided; etc. and submit in a timely manner on indicated due dates;
• Provide proper notification to immediate supervisor of any issues, problems, etc. in a timely manner;
• Work as an integral team member to insure the participant’s environment is barrier free; clean and well maintained;
• Adhere to all Happiness Bag, Inc. policies and procedures;
• Maintain open communication with Home Manager, if applicable, and/or Immediate Supervisor;
• Assist in positive promotion of all programs and services offered by the organization;
• Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and designated activities as directed by the Service Coordinator, Respite Care & Residential Habilitation Program Director and/or the Executive Director; and
• Perform all other tasks/duties, as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual, employee orientation, and as directed by the Service Coordinator, Respite Care & Residential Habilitation Program Director and/or the Executive Director.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid drivers license and car insurance.

While this is not health insurance, it is an affordable flat monthly fee option for those seeking medical treatment for issues such as the common cold, flu, sinus infections, high blood pressure, etc. ProActive MD also offers discounted regular acute medications. Happiness Bag pays 75% of this monthly fee and employees pay just 25% which comes to just $13.75/mo. for an individual.
