Overview

This job requires you to stay up at night no sleeping . This is for a private home for an elderly couple. They are very confident, have their wits about them. They need help just eating taking their meds. Also chores around the house. The woman requires help with taking a shower. She also has a a catheter which the bag needs to be drained daily. I'm looking for someone friday and saturday night 12 hour shifts. 24 hours total . $480 take home pay $20 an hour .

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Healthcare Aids to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Home Healthcare Aid, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary for their well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to providing direct support, particularly for those with conditions such as dementia or requiring long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Provide direct support to individuals in group home settings or private residences.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals or family members.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and performing light housekeeping duties.
• Support clients with mobility challenges, which may include heavy lifting or transferring assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide first aid when necessary and ensure that all health-related needs are met promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving, home healthcare, or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care and memory care techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience working in long-term care settings or group homes is an asset.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges effectively.
• Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
