Housekeeping/Custodial Supervisor

Overview
The Head Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all custodial operations, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met consistently. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily custodial activities, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Manage custodial staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for various facilities, including commercial spaces and educational institutions.
• Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to address specific cleaning needs or special events.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all custodial practices.
• Launder linens and other materials as necessary, maintaining quality standards in cleanliness.

• Proven experience in housekeeping management within commercial or hospitality settings.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Application Question(s):

• Are you willing for the Shift : training M-F 7am to 3:30pm for approximately 2 weeks, or until we feel they are capable of working on their own, and then transition to the 3pm to midnight shift, with every other weekend off ?

Experience:

• Hospital/Healthcare/Medical: 3 years (Preferred)
• Supervising: 3 years (Required)
• hospital, warehouse or industrial janitorial cleaning: 5 years (Required)
• Housekeeping : 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CHESP or NEHA (Preferred)
• Housekeeping Training License / Certification (Preferred)
• Bloodborne pathogens and sharps disposal training (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
