Human Resources Representative
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for an HR Representative to assist the HR Manager with all human resources functions at Plant DJ. Ensure that all new hire paperwork is completed and prepare new hires for orientation.
Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility).
- Assist employees with problems related to pay, benefits, leave of absence, transfers, job changes, pay rates, attendance, etc.
- Coordinate the hiring process by posting job openings in Workday, working with Talent Acquisition to schedule interviews, scheduling physicals, completing all new hire paperwork, scheduling new employee orientation, entering information into Workday and scheduling plant orientation and training.
- Enter employee information into Workday including new hire information, termination information, leave of absence information, corrective action and job bid sheet information.
- Maintain HR files electronically and comply with corporate records policies.
- Maintain payroll data.
- Assist employees with concerns and questions regarding benefits of the company such as medical, dental, life insurance and 401K.
- Assist with employee appreciation events and awareness activities.
- Maintain P-Card transactions and keep up with spending.
- Maintain staffing and running reports for other relevant analytics.
- Coordinate with leave of absence, benefits and workers compensation on requirements.
- Maintain employee service awards and assist with ordering employee award gifts.
- Plan meetings for Voice of Associate and other engagement activities, order flowers and gifts for employees and family according to corporate policy.
- Maintain bulletin boards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to personnel and other sensitive matters.

Work with plant management and production employees to develop and maintain a work environment that supports continuous improvement with regard to safety, quality and productivity.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks with speed and accuracy with minimal supervision.
- Order office supplies when needed.
- General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or plant management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to perform basic math.
- Experience in Human Resources preferred.
- Must have working computer experience.

Must write and speak English and Spanish.
- On the job training during normal work hours, with qualified person selected by the supervisor.

Training on computer programs including Workday, E-Verify, Concur, Symmetry, Workforce, PeopleSoft, Taleo, One Model and other systems as developed.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, supervisors and associates.
- Must be able to work on night shifts for events and special meetings.
- Must be able to work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to comply with all plant policies.
- Must be able to read and analyze reports and information.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
