Job Description
Title: Infrastructure Analyst
Anticipated Duration: 3 year W2 Contract
We are hiring two Network Analysts to join our remote team, supporting the reliability and health of our telecommunications and network infrastructure. These positions focus on proactive monitoring, event response, and coordination across internal teams and external service providers.
Position 1: Night Shift (Dedicated Team)
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday
- Hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (10-hour shifts)
- Role: Join a dedicated night operations team focused on critical after-hours network monitoring and incident response.
Position 2: 2nd Shift (Flexible Start Times available between 12PM and 3 PM)
- Schedule: Friday – Monday
- Hours: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM or 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM (10-hour shifts
Responsibilities
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve exceptions in enterprise infrastructure: routing, switching, wireless, and voice systems.
- Serve as the first line of support for network, transport, and wireless events.
- Interface with external telecom vendors for escalations and repair coordination.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of events and resolutions.
- Collaborate across systems teams to ensure telecom network integrity.
- Continuously identify and recommend improvements to processes and tools.
Key Focus Areas
- Network devices and LAN/WAN site health
- EMS and DSCADA networks
- LTE and digital transport systems (fiber optic, microwave, wireless)
- Facility infrastructure (generators, HVAC, alarms)
- Firewalls, voice networks, and company-owned transport sites
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a telecommunications infrastructure or Network Operations Center (NOC) environment preferred.
- Education or training in Telecommunications strongly desired.
- Experience in the utility industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of telecommunications troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Netcool or similar event management tools
- Working knowledge of:
- SONET (OC-12, OC-48), DWDM
- Digital Microwave & Spread Spectrum Radio Systems
- DSCADA/EMS RTU communications
- TCP/IP, TDM (T1/T3), VOIP, Cisco Routing/Switching
- DACS (DS0 to DS3), Channel Banks
- Awareness of system security standards

- Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting abilities

Certifications (Preferred)
- Cisco CCNA (Routing & Switching or Wireless)

The compensation range for this position is $25 to $30 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
