Job Requirements/ Skills/ Physical Demands
An employee in this position must have a sense of compassion & caring for animals, be able to lift approximately 50 pounds, walk dogs of up to 130 pounds.
Essential Functions
- Provide compassionate care for pets
- Monitor and report physical signs of hospitalized/boarded pets
- Maintain hospital facilities including cleaning cages, runs, boarding area, break room & bathroom.
- Feed and care for hospitalized/boarded pets as needed
- Must be comfortable handling dogs, cats and occasionally other small animals
- Exercise hospitalized/boarded dogs as needed
- Bathe pets as needed/required
- Maintain laundry
- Wash and sanitize pet dishes

Perform other duties as assigned
- Prior experience with animals, personal or professional, required
- Basic veterinary medical knowledge, including products and services preferred
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and still attend to details

Work Authorization required for candidates under 18 years of age
Typical shifts 6:30am-8:30am with occasional evening shifts.
Compensation range for this position: $15-16 Depending on experience.
