Kitchen Assistant/Cook

As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering delicious meals that meet our guests' expectations and contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of all meals served.
• Assist in the planning and execution of daily specials and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management as necessary.
• Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen equipment operation.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
• Passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes that delight customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$22.23 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
