Kitchen Guard of Fairfax is hiring a Night-Shift Kitchen Exhaust Foreman to lead and perform professional cleaning of commercial kitchen hoods, ducts, fans, and filters. This leadership role is perfect for someone ready to guide others while performing hands-on work that keeps kitchens safe from fires.

About the Role

The Foreman leads a crew of kitchen exhaust technicians, ensuring each cleaning job is completed safely, efficiently, and up to NFPA 96 standards. You’ll handle both operational and leadership duties—from inspecting job sites and managing tools to mentoring associates and maintaining top-tier quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and work alongside a small overnight cleaning crew
• Perform and oversee hood, duct, fan, and filter cleaning using pressure-washing and chemical degreasing methods
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections with photos and documentation
• Maintain and organize vehicles, equipment, and cleaning tools
• Ensure safe job-site practices and compliance with PPE protocols
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and on-the-job training for new associates
• Communicate effectively with management and clients
• Secure each facility and ensure the site is spotless before departure

Requirements

• Prior experience in kitchen exhaust, hood cleaning, or power washing preferred
• Leadership or crew-lead experience strongly desired
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops safely
• Comfortable working overnight (3rd shift) hours, typically 9 PM – 5 AM
• Attention to detail, organization, and safety awareness
• Basic familiarity with mobile apps or email for documentation

Schedule

• Overnight (3rd shift) — typically Sunday – Thursday nights
• Occasional Friday or weekend work as required
• Hours will increase as client volume grows
