Hospitality Night Shift Full-time

Job Description

The Rose Hotel is a 4 star hotel located in Tralee, Co Kerry. It is a 161 bedroomed hotel with busy food and beverage outlets.

We are currently looking to recruit for the role of Kitchen porter.


Main duties of the role:

To ensure that all wash up areas in the kitchen remain clean, tidy and free of hazards at all times

To ensure that the pot wash area is kept clean and tidy at all times

To ensure a continuous supply of clean equipment to the kitchen and food & beverage areas of the hotel

To ensure that all floors, walls and surfaces are kept clean at all times

To ensure that refuse is regularly removed from the kitchen area

To ensure that the refuse area is kept clean and tidy at all times

Required to do night cleaning duties when rostered

To do extra deep cleaning duties to comply with the EHO

To complete cleaning records as directed by the senior chef on duty

. To attend training both on the job and online

. To work as part of the team

. To comply with HACCP in relation to storing of deliveries etc.

. To carry out any other duties asked by either Senior Chefs or Management


If it is a full time role you can work this means working 5 days with 2 days off - working hours will vary depending on business requirements.


Candidate

  • Ideally to have previous experience in the role of kitchen porter in a busy environment
  • To be able to work as part of a team
  • Must have fluent level of english both written and oral
  • To be able to work weekends and public holidays
  • To be able to work a variety of shifts - early, late, mid and split
  • Must also be available to do 1 night a week for night work when deep cleaning is required.
