Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling best practices.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for guests.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
