Job Description Summary
Swing Bridge Pub is growing and is in need of an experienced cook to fulfill the position of line cook in our kitchen. The right candidate needs to have prior prep cook or line cook experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients and dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Utilizing kitchen equipment and utensils effectively.
- Ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Able to do opening and closing duties.
Skills & Qualifications
- A strong base of culinary knowledge, culinary school education or comparable experience required
- Previous prepping or line cooking experience required
- Interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution
- Attention to detail
- Financial understanding
- Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet
Must be available afternoon, nights, and weekends depending upon catering and restaurant need.
Job Type: Part-time
Base Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Prep-cook: 1 year (Required)
- Line Cook: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Required)
Ability to Commute:
- La Crescent, MN 55947 (Preferred)
