We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Skills
- Proficient in food handling techniques and meal preparation methods.
- Strong knife skills for efficient cutting and chopping of ingredients.
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
