Line Leader Production MM FLOWERS - Alconbury Weald

Location: Pierson Road, The Enterprise Campus, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, PE28 4YA
Contract: Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday (average 40.25 hours per week)
Shifts:

• Days: 6:30am – 7:00pm, £13.78 per hour (overtime £17.23 per hour)
• Nights: 6:30pm – 7:00am, £17.23 per hour (overtime £21.53 per hour)

Pay: Paid monthly
Benefits: 5% pension, BUPA (employee only)

MM Flowers is looking for a reliable and motivated Line Leader to join our production team. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of 8–20 operatives, ensuring products are packed and processed efficiently and to customer specifications. This is a key leadership role focused on quality, productivity, and people development in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to meet daily production targets
• Ensure all products meet the required quality, specification, and presentation standards
• Carry out traceability checks (OAL/Olympus) and input data into the ERP system (Rubicon)
• Balance production lines for efficiency and optimise staff allocation
• Support, train, and develop new and existing team members
• Record and report on production counts, waste, and issues
• Escalate production or quality issues promptly to the Section Manager
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and GMP standards
• Represent the line during customer visits, audits, and internal reviews

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a similar production or manufacturing leadership role
• Familiarity with traceability systems and ERP software (e.g. OAL, Rubicon)
• Strong team leadership and communication skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach to resolving issues and improving performance
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high standards
• Understanding of health & safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements
