Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents during overnight shifts, supporting their health, safety, and overall well-being. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive personalized and attentive care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for residents across the lifespan in a long-term care setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Monitor residents’ conditions, perform necessary testing, and document outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary needs.
- Assist in resident assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond effectively to emergent situations and contribute to problem-solving for improved resident outcomes.
- Educate and counsel residents and their families on care plans, treatment, and self-care strategies under direction of supervising clinicians.
- Maintain confidentiality and establish positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support high-quality resident care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Dakota (or multi-state privileges).
- Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience, or at least 400 hours of prior LPN experience.
- If IV therapy is required for this role, completion of an approved IV Therapy course or graduation from an AASPN program with IV training.
- Ability to complete and maintain required certifications, competencies, and annual continuing education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Practical Nursing.
- Experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings.
