Mechanical Sweeping and Blowing

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Mechanical Sweeping and Blowing Technician to support municipal parking garage and surface lot cleaning operations. This role focuses on maintaining clean, safe, and professional parking facilities through mechanical sweeping, blowing, and debris removal.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in parking garages, ramps, stairwells, and outdoor lots. Prior municipal or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but training is available.

Duties

• Operate mechanical sweepers, blowers, and related equipment to clean parking garages and surface lots:

Garage floors and ramps

Stairwells and corners

• Inaccessible areas using blowers
• Perform routine equipment checks to ensure sweepers and blowers are operating properly
• Use hand tools and power tools for supplemental cleaning and debris removal
• Follow municipal safety standards, including traffic awareness and pedestrian safety
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and service schedules
• Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment at multiple garage locations
• Communicate site conditions, hazards, or maintenance concerns to supervisors

Experience

• Experience with parking garages, street sweeping, municipal, or commercial cleaning preferred
• Ability to safely operate mechanical sweeping and blowing equipment
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining public facilities
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in multi-level garages and outdoor environments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment as needed
• Comfortable working around vehicles, ramps, and concrete surfaces
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:
