Overview Of Responsibilities
- The Monitor Technician will run an admission rhythm strip for patients admitted to ICCU, PPCU and CVU.
- The Monitor Technician’s primary responsibility is to notify the Nurse of any changes such as baseline rhythm, rhythm/rate changes, patient disposition, and communication with the patient’s primary Nurse.
- Follows Code Procedures.
- Properly operates unit communication equipment.
- Calls staff as directed.
- Initiates work orders.
- Independently proceeds with daily routine without delay.
- Strict adherence to Infection Control Policy with specific emphasis on hand hygiene.
