About the Role:
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the overnight hours. This position is responsible for balancing the daily financial transactions and preparing reports that are essential for the management team. The Night Auditor also provides exceptional customer service to guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns that may arise during their stay. Additionally, this role involves maintaining the security of the hotel premises and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. Ultimately, the Night Auditor contributes to the overall guest experience and operational efficiency of the hotel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in hospitality management or related field.
- Experience with hotel management software.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services to assist guests.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nightly audits of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Provide front desk services, including check-ins and check-outs for guests.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the night.
- Maintain the security of the hotel by monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular checks.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit.
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Frequently required to talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds.
